Trigeneration - CCHP

CCHP is similar to CHP, but here cooling energy is also generated for space temperature conditioning, refrigeration processes in industry or for food/drink storage application.

Trigeneration systems supply energy in three forms: electricity; heat and chilled water.

Absorption chillers provide an economical and environmental alternative to conventional refrigeration. Combining efficiency, low emission power generation equipment with absorption chillers allows for maximum total fuel efficiency, elimination of harmful refrigerants and reduced overall air emissions. There are a number of different configurations of CHP units where refrigeration can be derived.

Shengdong CCHP systems have great potential in distributed energy generation, there are several important ad-vantages of CCHP systems: a low emission rate, higher efficiency than in the classical approach and successful low-grade thermal energy recovery. Today, Shengdong internal combustion engines and electric refrigerators and absorption refrigerators as thermally-driven units dominate as design solutions for trigeneration systems.
