Coal gasification is basically conversion of coal (Non-caking or weak-caking bituminous coal etc.) into a combustible gas mixture normally called Coal Gas.
In the Coal gas generator power plant, coal gas is initially trained by special coal gas filter and coal gas chiller to remove impurity & moisture to make it suitable for internal combustion engines. Then the clean coal gas is passed through Shengdong coal gas engine generators to make power.

Common characteristics of this type of coal gas:
● Major flammable compositions are CO (carbon monoxide), H2 (hydrogen) and CH4 (methane).
● Coal gas composition is relatively unstable and can change from time to time.
● Raw coal gas contains different comtaminants like tar, H2S, and dusts/particluers.Shengdong engine features ‘IN-CYLINDER’ technology for coal gas which mainly contains hydrogen and carbon monooxide.‘Shengdong’ probably has the highest number of regularly operating low BTU genset installations in the world.
